Kent View Cottage is approached from a private lane just south of the Kent Sussex border and well away from the main road. A single story, brick and tiled building, which was originally a milking parlour at the farm, Kentview has been converted into a lovely detached holiday cottage.
With stunning views over our own land into Kent on the other side and the Kent Water brook in the valley below, Kent view was fully refurbished in 2012 into luxury, fully furnished accommodation for 4 people.
It offers two double bedrooms (one with a king-size bed and one with two doubles) both with under-floor heated, en-suite wetrooms, a utility room, large sitting/dining room, including a fireplace with a wood burning stove. There is also a separate kitchen with a breakfast area. Real oak furniture and flooring give the cottage a warm, comfortable and traditional feel, but it is really the stunning views from every room that sets this property apart.
Kentview Cottage is available to let by the week from Friday to Friday, on a fully inclusive basis and for short breaks outside peak season (3 nights over a weekend or 4 nights midweek @ 70% of the weekly rate).
Facilities include ample parking, dedicated fast broadband internet access, Freesat TV and DVD player, oil fired central heating, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, iron and ironing board, a large double-oven electric range with ceramic 5 ring ceramic hob, a microwave, cooking ware, cutlery and china. We also supply, included within the weekly charge, your electricity and heating oil, bed linen and towels. A travel cot is available should you require one but please bring your own cot mattress and bedding. Outside there is a small private sitting out area for the cottage with garden furniture and barbeque.
The cottage provides both privacy (our two holiday cottages share separate access and parking away from the main house) and yet the comfort and safety of knowing the owner lives in the main house adjacent. The private lane leading to the farm also serves a small hamlet further on but is a no-through road and so there is both on-road and off-road access to miles of country walks and in particular the renowned Kent Border Path. See our local attractions page.
Please note: Smoking is not permitted in our cottages.
